Call for admissions in 2019 for the Master Program at Willy Brandt School

The Master of Public Policy program (MPP) at the Willy Brandt School at Erfurt University in Germany offers students the flexibility to build their own curriculum around the core mandatory classes.

The Willy Brandt School trains young academics and professionals who strive to be the future leaders in the public service, including government agencies, international organizations, and the non-profit sector.

Study Public Policy in an international environment at Germany’s oldest Public Policy School! The MPP is a fully accredited, two-year interdisciplinary degree program taught in English. Specialize in:

Call for courses on drugs and drug policy in the Andean Area

The Centro de Estudios sobre Seguridad y Drogas (CESED) at Universidad de los Andes invites those interested to participate in the call for applications for the course on drugs and drug policy in the Andean Area, co-financed by the Open Society Foundation.

The purpose of the course goes beyond raising awareness of the issue among people who work specifically on drug policy. It is also intended, based within different disciplines, to analyse the different aspects of illicit crops, the drug policies of the Andean countries and Mexico, the lessons learned and the challenges that persist.

Registration deadline: 25 May 2019.

Selected participants will be informed as of May 31, 2019, through a letter of admission to the programme. For the selection of half scholarship applicants, in Colombia, priority will be given to people from regions, indigenous people and Afro-descendants. Those interested in obtaining a scholarship should complete the online form available.

Call for the submission of applications to participate in CAPAZ Summer School 2019 in Berlin

The German-Colombian Peace Institute – CAPAZ and Freie Universität Berlin open a call for the submission of applications to participate in the CAPAZ 2019 Summer School: “an exclusionary peace? Peacebuilding in contexts of inequality” to be held on September 23-27, 2019 in Berlin, Germany.

The invitation is open to MA and PhD students in Germany and Colombia, and to peace builders who wish to present their research work, exchange knowledge and experiences of peacebuilding in Colombia, and learn about German practices related to the School’s four thematic axes: territoriality, justice, democracy, and memory.

The CAPAZ 2019 Summer School will cover the academic, food, and accommodation costs for nine (9) students and five (5) multipliers for peace from Colombia.

Selection process: until Wednesday, May 15, 2019
