A lecture by Barbara Potthast: a historical look at women in armed conflicts in Latin America

As part of the international seminar on the history and memory of violence and conflicts in Latin America, Prof. Dr. Barbara Potthast will give her lecture on the role of women in armed conflicts in the region, from a historical perspective. Prof. Dr. Barbara Potthast teaches Iberian and Latin American history at the Institute of History at the University of Cologne, Germany.

The online lecture will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. (Colombia time) and will be transmitted on the Uninorte Académico Youtube channel. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

Professor Potthast’s lecture is the first in a series of online talks planned for October 2020. Professor Thomas Fischer from the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (20 October) and researcher Rosario Figari Layús from Justus Liebig University Giessen and CAPAZ (27 October) will also be taking part in October.
