An online event was held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 to present the SDGnexus Network, a global community of universities, research centres and partner institutions committed to promoting the Agenda 2030 – Sustainable Development Goals. The network has three goals: 1) to establish a common research framework through joint research projects between the partners; 2) to qualify the next generation of scientists as agents of change; and 3) to promote exchange and collaboration between the higher education institutions in the network and other actors.

The SDGnexus Network is part of the German Academic Exchange Service – DAAD programme called “Higher Education Excellence in Development Cooperation – exceed”, supported by the DAAD with resources from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ). The purpose of the program is to strengthen higher education in order to enable effective and innovative contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
