Online discussion on the implementation of the agreement in Congress

The lecture entitled “Update on the implementation of the Agreement in Congress” will be held on Friday September 25, 2020 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. as part of the Día Paíz 2020 lectures, organised by Universidad de los Andes.

Ángela María Robledo (Political Party Colombia Humana) and Juanita Goebertus (Political Party Alianza Verde) will take part in the event, together with Roy Barreras (Political Party Partido de la U) and Carlos Lozada (Political Party Fuerza Alternativa Revolucionaria del Común). The discussion will be moderated by Rafael Quishpe, professor and director of the Legislative Observatory of Political Reincorporation (Observatorio Legislativo de la Reincorporación Política – ORP) at Universidad del Rosario and coordinator of one of the projects supported by CAPAZ.

On 4 August 2020, fourteen congressmen from various political parties presented a report to the public entitled, “Where does peace stand two years into the Duque government?”, in which they presented some updated information on the implementation of peace in Colombia. The document was drawn up on the basis of political monitoring and visits to 16 areas of the country. During the meeting, three of the authors of the report and the senator of the FARC party will analyse the results set out in the document and the prospects for the implementation of the Final Agreement during the third year of the Duque’s government.

The Legislative Observatory for Political Reincorporation (ORP) is dedicated to analysis and opinion, and is made up by professors, professionals, and students at Universidad del Rosario, who are interested in following the legislative work of ex-combatants who are now members of the Colombian Congress.
