The Gabriel Izquierdo University Network for Peace (RED UNIPAZ) and the Eje Cafetero and Antioquia branch of the State University System (SUE) have organised the regional meeting on a topic that treats the university as a territory of peace. The meeting was supported by the German Hanns Seidel Foundation, the DOMOPAZ Foundation, and the Colombia Científica programme.

One of the activities at the meeting will be the “IV Itinerant Colombia Científica Seminar – Reconstruction of the social fabric in post-conflict zones in Colombia”, which will take place on Monday, August 12, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (Y block auditorium).

The seminar is proposed as a space for dialogue between academic and territorial knowledge. Teachers, researchers and communities from Eje Cafetero and Antioquia will share their experiences and reflections based on the research they are conducting, which can contribute to consolidating the university as a space for peacebuilding.
