Regional Thought in the Post-Agreement Forum

“Building territories of peace in the Amazon and Orinoco foothills” is the title of the Regional Thought in the Post-Agreement Forum, which will take place from 22 to 24 May 2019 in Neiva, capital of the department of Huila.

During the three days of the event, various aspects of territorial peace will be debated in thematic conversations, to be held in different venues in the city, such as the Departmental Library and in the auditoriums of the Universidad Surcolombiana (USCO), as well as the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Neiva headquarters.

Dr. Carlos Nupia, Administrative Director of the German-Colombian Peace Institute – CAPAZ, will participate as a panelist in thematic conversation 6 entitled: “City – region territorial dialogue. Building organic networks of knowledge and political-academic action”. The conversation will take place on May 23, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Olga Tony Vidales Auditorium – USCO).

The forum is an initiative of multiple centres of social and political studies that encourage public reflection together with various actors, on the materialisation of the so-called territorial peace and the current status of the implementation of the peace agreements, signed in 2016, in the region of the Amazonian and Orinoco foothills, including the departments of Huila, Caquetá, Putumayo and Meta.
