“Violence in Venezuela and the open cracks of the peace agreement in Colombia” is the title of an article by the German broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) in which CAPAZ Academic Director and professor of peace studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen, Prof. Dr. Stefan Peters, provides his views on the current situation of violence and insecurity on the border between Colombia and Venezuela. He also examines the possible implications of this situation for the implementation of peace in Colombia. Professor Peters urges the international community to support the mitigation of the humanitarian crisis unleashed by the confrontations between the Venezuelan army and dissidents of the Colombian guerrilla FARC-EP.
