Theme

Peace processes around the world create great challenges for societies. Is it really possible to achieve peace after a peace agreement has been concluded? In countries where poverty and exclusion have preceded violence, and socio-economic circumstances are a cause of conflict, exacerbated by long periods of violence, should peace processes address social, economic and cultural justice claims? Have these issues been included in peace agreements around the world? What social, economic and cultural rights provisions have been included? Have these clauses had a gender focus for women? This presentation will analyse these questions to encourage critical discussion in Colombia and globally.
