CALL FOR INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC EXCHANGE: “EXPERIENCES ON POLITICAL EDUCATION FOR A SUSTAINABLE AND PEACEFUL FUTURE”
The Chair for Peace Studies at Justus Liebig University, Giessen and CAPAZ invite applicants from Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela to apply for an Exchange of Experiences on Political Education for a Sustainable and Peaceful Future.
The purpose of the international academic exchange is to analyze the potential of education to build sustainable and peaceful societies. To this end, we propose an analysis of the current situation and its implications for the different exercises of political education, as well as to build a space to understand the general characteristics of each participating country’s different modalities of political education. The academic exchange will take place at the Tagungshaus der Akademie der Diözese Rottenburg-Stuttgart in Stuttgart-Hohenheim.
Requirements for registration
Academic degree (mandatory);
Colombian, Ecuadorian, Peruvian, or Venezuelan passport (mandatory);
Having studied or researched at a German university (desirable);
Working in the education sector in public institutions or community processes, NGOs, social movements (desirable);
Applicants must be willing to present an academic paper or professional/community experiences in the field of political education with emphasis on peace and/or sustainable development.
Expenses included
Transportation costs (flight, economy class up to 1.250 €) to Germany and internal transportation in Germany will be covered, as will accommodation, meals, and tuition fees. Costs for immigration documents (e.g. passports) and health insurance are not included.

The exchange program is carried out on-site. Due to the epidemiological dynamics, participants will be informed in advance about the current and mandatory measures for the prevention of transmission.
