Coronavirus pandemic and inequalities in Latin America: Podcast with Stefan Peters para la UniNorte

Stefan Peters, Director of the German-Colombian Peace Institute CAPAZ and Professor for Peace Studies at  Justus Liebig University Giessen talked with Roberto González Arana, Professor for History at Universidad del Norte,  for the radio interview “La historia continúa”.

Both professors discussed about the effects of the Coronavirus and the inequalities in Latin America. There are many social and economic challenges to address to, the current panorama of the health services in Latin America is not better and public policies are weak. The majority of affected people are citizens from different regions, who rely informal work to survive and have no social security to support them in this crisis.
