Events and legacy in liberation theology by Rodolfo de Roux

Professor of the history of Latin American Catholicism, Rodolfo de Roux, SJ will be a guest speaker at the international seminar on the history and memory of violence and conflict in Latin America, with his talk entitled “Religion and revolution. The birth, rise and fall of liberation theology”.

Professor de Roux, has dedicated his academic and humanistic career to historical and theological studies, with an emphasis on the Latin American region. His teaching and research work have taken place mainly in Colombia and France, and he is currently linked to the University of Toulouse.

The seminar will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. (Colombia time).

November is the last month of the international seminar in which academic experts have lectured on topics related to violence and conflicts in some Latin American countries, from a historical perspective and focusing on the memory of these societies. The International seminar is organised by the CAPAZ, CALAS, the Institute for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Universidad del Norte and Justus-Liebig University, Giessen.
