Online discussion organised by Nodo Alemania: Memory, future and non-repetition?

As part of its series of online meetings, the German Group supporting the Truth Commission has invited Tamara Moncada Landeta and Edna Guerrero Caicedo to a discussion on the experience of having a missing relative in Colombia and the legal, institutional, and coping processes that this represents.

The online meeting will be held on Tuesday July 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. (Germany) – 11:00 a.m. (Colombia/Ecuador), and can be accessed through the Nodo Alemania Facebook Live page
The search for a loved one who has been forcibly disappeared creates uncertainty, pain, and anguish to families and society. The ongoing waiting for the missing person’s return results in a growing concern to know the truth about the events: Where is s/he? The search for the missing person is a search for the truth in which collective spaces are built: networks form between people that open the way for joint processes of recognition, justice and reparation.
