The CAPAZ-supported SIU Peace Chair continues in January 2020
The Chair for Peace, Coexistence and Citizenship at Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) will hold its third session entitled “Culture and the media of memory” on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the UIS facilities in Bucaramanga (Agora Auditorium of the School of Human Sciences).
This is a UIS –as an associate member of CAPAZ— initiative, through the Academic Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the School of Economics and Administration and the Oral Archive of Memory of Victims (AMOVI), supported by CAPAZ.
Fabiola León Posada, a journalist with links to Reporters Without Borders, and Carolina Tejada Sánchez, a journalist with Seminario VOZ who writes about human rights and the armed conflict will take part in the session, which will review the different aspects of the relationship between culture, media and memory as the axis of the construction of common identities and the defence of human rights.
The Chair will continue with its academic agenda for the remainder of the current semester.
