Facebook Live: the German Node on psychosocial work in peacebuilding in Colombia

What is the psychosocial approach and why is it important in peacebuilding in Colombia? What are the challenges of psychosocial work with Colombians living abroad? What are our forms of emotional caregiving, coping and resistance?

In the next Facebook Live from the German Node, a support group for the Colombian Truth Commission, those interested and attendees will have the opportunity to discuss these questions with the German Node’s psychosocial team.

The virtual meeting will take place on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 18:30 (CET) – 11:30 (Colombia).

Participants will include Maribel Alfonso, psychologist and interviewer for the Commission, who will speak about the German Node’s psychosocial strategy; Alexandra Bisbicus, textile artist with training in Art Therapy; Rosmery Schoenborn, actress and theatre teacher, and Sonia Solarte, psychologist and psychotherapist. Based on their experiences and artistic approaches, they will be discussing the importance of emotional care and healing. Dora Lancheros who coordinates the psychosocial approach at the Colombian Truth Commission will also participate. Ana Maria Linares, with a degree in social work from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, studying for a master’s degree in intercultural conflict management in Berlin, will be moderating the event.
