When? The following Saturdays from September to December 2020: 12.09. / 10.10. / 14.11. / 12.12.
Time? 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Description

The workshop will be a meeting point for reflection based on embroidery and weaving, as a proposal for transformative and healing art that claims and reconstructs the collective memory and truth about the Colombian conflict and how it is perceived outside of Colombia. Embroidering, joining, mending life stories, are other ways of telling and walking the word while resisting violence, silence and oblivion. Weaving collectively is an exercise that engenders dialogue aimed at understanding what has happened to us as a society and as a country. We will embroider altars of pain, of mourning, of the absences that the conflict has left us, but which also symbolise tenderness, joy and the defence of life. This memory work is important. Because knowing what has marked us in these years of war is a way of getting closer to the truth. The artwork resulting from the workshop will be sent to the Truth Commission in Colombia.
