SESSION 7 OF THE UIS-CAPAZ CHAIR ON YOUTH, MEMORY AND CONFLICT

The Chair for Peace, Coexistence and Citizenship at Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) will hold its seventh session entitled,“Youth, memory and conflict” on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the UIS in Bucaramanga (Auditorio Fundadores of the School of Health).

Jefferson Corredor Uyaban, Researcher of the Oral Memory Archive of Victims AMOVI-UIS and at the Gender Equity Policy Committee UIS will be guest expert at the session.

The purpose of this meeting is to highlight the importance of the experiences of new generations in the construction of historical memory with a youthful perspective, as well as forms of resistance to the social, political and armed conflict that Colombia has experienced for decades. A protocol for dealing with gender-based violence will be presented during the event.

This is a CAPAZ supported UIS initiative, implemented through its Academic Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the School of Economics and Administration and the Oral Archive of Memory of Victims (AMOVI). UIS is a CAPAZ associate member.
