The last chapter of La Lupa! Security provision and transitional justice: case 04 of the JEP – Urabá region

This is the last episode of La Lupa!

This is our last episode of the CAPAZ Education and Science Diplomacy project’s web series. We end on a high point with a topical research of great relevance in the national arena. Rosario Figari-Layus (researcher and professor of the Chair of Peace Studies at the University of Giessen and CAPAZ science collaborator), Julián Muñoz (professor of the School of Law and Political Science at Universidad de Antioquia), and Lina Adarve Calle (professor of Law and Political Science at Universidad de Antioquia) tell us about their current research.

Researchers Juliette Vargas (CEDPAL/Georg-August-Universität Göttingen/CAPAZ), Alejandra Alvarado Ospina and Yuliza Agudelo, both from Universidad de Antioquia, are also involved in the project. In this paper, they analyze how the continuation of the armed conflict has impacted Transitional Justice policies: what happens when the measures of this system are implemented in contexts of high levels of violence? What happens, for example, with the security measures for ex-combatants who participate in the JEP?

Watch the video to learn more about the methodology used, the findings of the research so far, and the relevance of studying this topic today.

Look out for the full research on the CAPAZ Institute website very soon!
